What Matters: New Things

Video finally uploaded - Lucas learning how to Karate Chop!!

Lucas has had a few unusual days, some bad and some good. Yesterday was a fantastic day he slept when he was supposed to for as long as he was supposed to and fed at the right times. Saturday was a horrible day he was up all day and grumpy all day. Today has been a good day he has been up most of the day but happy so we have had lots of little converstations and smiles so I cant really complain. Hopefully these days stay around.

He is doing excellent at holding his head up and can look around on both sides (at least today he did) not just to the left! If I pull him up by his arms he can pull his head up and put it back down all under control. He is cooing a lot more and likes it when we repeat what he has said. He loves the toy that hangs above his change table that Opa bought him and continues to talk to it and smile away - we are still waiting for a real laugh, he seems so close. He likes to pull his feet up to his face and often touches his face with his hands - he seems to be figuring out that they are attached to him and that he has some control over what they do.

Our swing has proven successful although not every time but he does nap in it which has been a help since it has started to rain a little more often now which makes walking outside a pain for me.

He is doing new things everyday and growing so fast it is hard to believe he is going to be 3 months old in a week - shocking!!!

Peter started back to work today which was sad had to get back into the swing of doing things on my own again, happy Lucas helped to make this feel not too hard. Before he left he made sure to read a story to the little guy - lots of smiles and talking from Lucas for Daddy. Peter has had some good cuddles with Lucas tonight to make up for the fact that he missed him during the day.
